Jens-Paul Wollenberg and Pojechaly: Traveling with the „Black Taxi” to New Musical Worlds
Jens-Paul Wollenberg, a powerful interpreter with expressive vocal artistry, has decided the time has come to release a new album. For this endeavor, the master embarks on a journey with the „Black Taxi”, slipping into various roles and finding himself in a range of different scenarios.
On the backseat are his steadfast companions of two decades, „Pojechaly”, consisting of Ingeborg Freytag (violin, percussion), Valeri Funkner (bayan), and Harald Bohner (guitar). Each one an „emigrant” in their own way, activated as „sleepers” at just the right moment for this album. In the trunk, a stowaway: Bernd Gesell with his unwieldy double bass.
To the rhythm of the surreal taximeter, they roam through boundlessly melancholic excesses and grotesque scenes.
Climb aboard this ghost train that takes you „through mazes to megalomania”!
Pojechaly! Let's go, escaping the „sirens” to dream better dreams ... better dreams ...
