An acoustic journey through South America
José Miguel Márquez has been one of Chile's most renowned musicians for many years. Born in the Atacama Desert, he entered the vibrant world of Latin American music at an early age.
On his solo CD „natural” José Miguel Márquez embarks on an acoustic journey through South America and its diverse rhythms. He plays indigenous flutes like the Zampoña, Quena, Quenacho, and Moceño, sings, and performs on string instruments such as the Cuatro, Ukulele, Guitar, and Charango. Whether crafted from bamboo or rosewood, his music celebrates the dances, longing, love, and landscapes of his continent.
The CD „natural” is an encounter with the musical poetry of the Andean peoples, their natural sound, and timeless beauty.
