Exotic Sounds and unusual instruments: The fascinating world of Liquid Soul and the overtone well whistle
Music that straddles the boundary between jazz, world music, and contemporary classical, sparking curiosity about exotic cultures. Unconventional wind and percussion instruments transport listeners to foreign yet strangely familiar worlds.
The highlight of every live concert by Liquid Soul is the overtone well whistle. This instrument was developed by Gert Anklam and Beate Gatscha from a sound object by Swiss sculptor Martin Spühler and named after its unique playing technique.
